A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by John Cassidy-Rice to see if I’d like to be interviewed for his Master Mind Growth podcast, and I jumped at the chance. Sometimes you’re so busy running your business and dealing with day-to-day tasks that you don’t take stock and think about how far you’ve come. For me it was great to reflect on how I got to where I am right now and nice to share some tips with him.
John is the local membership adviser for the Federation of Small Businesses and his podcast features a wide range of business owners, to tap into their expertise and share with others for inspiration and ideas.

It was lovely sharing my story with John, talking about how I switched from my corporate job to running my own business, how cancer affected my mindset and my top tips for working smarter and not harder.
Credits
I mentioned various people in the interview, although not by name, so with their permission I’m delighted to now credit them here.

Kelly Goss is the client I mention in the podcast whose tagline is ‘work smarter not harder’ and she inspired me to optimise my manual tasks. She is an automation guru and provides business consultancy and tips for businesses who want to streamline their manual tasks to save time and increase profits. Her business is called Solvaa and you can visit her website here to find out more.

Hello there!
Different kinds of mobile apps can help your business, whether in terms of marketing, business efficiency, or both. Do you have a mobile app for your business? Potential clients nowadays are more comfortable doing business with companies whose mobile app does not only have an amazing look and feel, but also has some features that make doing most business processes easier.
I’m an app developer that can design and program on any platform (Android, iOs, etc). If you already have some ideas in mind, I’d love to hear about them. I also have ideas of my own that I’d really love to share with you.
If you’d like to know more info, I’ll send you my portfolio containing the apps that I’ve made for my other clients, and I’ll also show you data about how the app helps their business. Please reply to let me know what you think. Talk to you soon!
Best Regards,
Brandon Wright
Hi Brandon! Thanks for getting in touch. I don’t think my business needs an app just yet but I’ll be sure to let you know if that changes. Good luck with everything! Ali
